We invite you to join us for our 2025 season, "A Cinematic Year of Theatre." We will celebrate the connection between stage and screen. Throughout our season, we will explore the dynamic relationship between two of the most treasured forms of storytelling by bringing you shows that have crossed over from stage to film or vice versa. These stories have enchanted audiences in both theatres and cinemas alike. This season highlights the enduring impact of storytelling in all its forms. Whether adapted for the screen or reimagined for the stage, each production promises a renewed, cinematic twist on classic and modern tales.

If you require assistance in assembling your production team, please indicate this in your letter of intent, and the Playhouse can provide recommendations. If you are applying to direct multiple shows, please include your vision for each one. Please note that if you have not directed at the Playhouse before or have limited directing experience, you may be asked to shadow an established director prior to your production.
